Solution
Motorola and Burton were launching a new line of wearable technology and wanted to make a big splash at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Leader's response was to make it snow in Las Vegas. We showcased the technology with a show-stopping spectacle that became MOTOMountain. The massive structure dwarfed the Las Vegas Convention Center and featured a "kicker" jump allowing professional boarders to execute breath-taking tricks as thousands entered and exited CES. This multipurpose space came alive at night with snowmaking machines creating an amazing atmosphere for VIP guests at an evening mixer. Motorola Gobo lights were fixed on the snow that served as a massive billboard and athletes jumped at night. Our MC and riders highlighted the benefits of wearable technology on the slopes and ski lifts creating a compelling and credible validation of the product concept.
Service
This was the first of many successful collaboration efforts Leader has had with Murphy Productions. Together we developed and built a truly stunning visual that captivated both convention goers and the media.
Success
Motorola's investment in the concept was paid for in equivalent ad dollars prior to the show even opening. The build out alone produced massive coverage, followed by extensive reach for domestic and international outlets alike. MOTOMountain was the talk of the show with huge onsite attention and massive media coverage generating substantial return on the overall investment. By day two of the show, most major media outlets were basing their stories from the mountain and talking about the product.
